About

The project itself will focus on a One Piece world with Pokemon occupying it! How you wish to interrupt that is up to the contributors. If you wish to make it a pirate's life with Pokemon accompanying your favorite characters. Another option is a pokemon league battling your way across the grandline for the ultimate goal of top trainer (pirate king).As this is a zine for charity we ultimatley decided to chose the World Wildlife Foundation as our charity!Pokémon and One Piece are united by the beautiful, sprawling worlds they depict and the lovely critters that inhabit those worlds, so we want to contribute to helping our own wildlife!

Zine Expectations

For everyone: At least one of your sample pieces must be either One Piece or Pokemon. You can submit pieces for other fandoms once this condition has been met. Samples must be SFW, and any potentially triggering content should be warned appropriately (ie: OP-level violence).Writers: will have between 1-1.2k to write and the option to work with an artist if they wish on reference sheets of 4 characters. When you submit your writing samples, keep in mind the maximum word count for each of them should be 1.2k.Artists: will have one single page or double page spread and the option to work on spot illustrations/ reference sheets and also the option to work on the trading cards. (can pick multiple but may be picked for only one extra role if they are making an art piece already). When submitting your samples, keep in mind they should be finished pieces and, in the case of illustrations, this includes backgrounds whenever possible.Merch artists: will have at least one merch piece, the type of which will be chosen when concept ideas are submitted. Merch artists can request to work on more than one piece, but assignment of these is subject to the zine’s budget and the merch that has already been assigned. Merch artists should submit examples of previous merch they have designed and, in case more samples are needed, they can also add art pieces that could be made into merch without significant alterations.
